I have had that eye condition since 1990
Can I have the contact Email for the enquiry of distribution?
Good bless the company behind these lenses! I wouldn’t be able to live life without them 🙏💯 I cried once I received mines for the first time I these lenses are priceless…..
3:00 I fear I’ll never have this. I live in a city where we have one keratoconus specialist and I don’t think he knows much. I’m strapped financially, so I can’t go elsewhere to find another doctor. I’m 43 and my vision is getting worse each day. I’ve had several ruptures in each eye and have visible scarring. I live in a home I need to get away from but when you’re blind and broke, your options are limited. 😢 I need my vision to be able to support myself 100%.
Scleral lenses have been a godsend for me.
I implant a ferrara ring 18 years ago im brazil work fantastic for me!
That's the second incurable decease I discovered I have right after I made peace with having hypothyroidism and taking pills for the rest of my life I discovered I have keratoconus now I'm seriously considering killing myself f*** life
Having watched several videos about lenses, it's not reassuring at all for me to wear contact lens. Compared to the very few benefits that they provide, they involve much more drawbacks/risks many of which whose outcomes are permanent and irreversible. I'd rather wear glasses although they won't provide as great vision as lenses rather than living with the risk of losing the quite decent vision I presently have.
My son who is 26 has keratoconus he was diagnosed with it when he was 17 getting the diagnosis took so long that he broke down at thought of losing his sight . He did a you tube video about it for his final project at college called imagine by Robson mason . Oh we live in the UK
I am going through this right now at 29 years old started when I was about 23 years old I noticed one day it felt like I had something in my eye and it was so irritating so I started picking at it and noticed like a boogery discharge so I scheduled a an eye appointment my doctor said it looks like I have kerataconus and scheduled me for a a cross linking which I should have went too but I brushed it off because my eye sight was good at that time I was also wearing glasses. So a year later I’m driving from Phoenix to Los Angeles and I notice my eyes feel heavy but I’m not tired at all almost like I had to start squinting so I ignore it I get to LA and just rest and wake up next day feel better. So it continued to worsen as the years went on it’s so weird though because it has gotten so bad that night driving is a nightmare can’t even play basketball anymore but for some strange reason I feel like I see better without my glasses it’s been 3 years since I haven’t used glasses although my eye sight is tarnished back when I wore glasses I would never be able to operate without them. It’s very emotionally tough but I’ve gotten this far. I scheduled a corneal transplant but I got nervous and never went. I regret it til this day
I have keratoconus and primary open angle glaucoma. It sux yes. But man up
I have Acuity Clearview scleral lens for my left e ye. It is new, I try to wear but it is quite uncomfortable now. Tangible Hydro Peg Coating may help. If this lens is originally not coated yet, can I send it to a lab to ask a coat. (I could not find any information about if this type of lens is coated originally)
I want to buy a trial lens set annorder from you Price of the set and price of the lens I willbe getting from you Enrique Gutierrez MD
Iam suffered sjs
Solo los que tenemos queratocono entendemos yo empecé a ver borroso en junio ahora es septiembre rápido progreso mi vista pero ya me ise un crosslinking para detener el queratocono
I got disqualified to serve in the military 2 days ago because of keratoconus I had early signs and not being able to serve bru aide of this damn disease gets me so sad but I am glad that I have options to fix it now and if I do get it corrected and it succeeds I know I will and bawl my eyes out
Any one from India like me who is suffering from keratoconus 😭 🇮🇳
I'm bro😭
@@ShorttvWorldadd me too😢 but I just came to know that I have kc and it is in advance level on my left eye doctors suggested me for c3r I just want to know does it works brother or not?
I am 17 and I have been diagnosed with this disease and on 18 I have aC3R for my right eye and after the for my left eye and just had barrage laser for my retina. I feel like I am going blind and loosing hope I can't recognize faces .My friends and family tries to console me but doctor said it is permanent any my right eye vision is getting poor day by day .I don't know what to do .plz tell me can I restore my vision

Hey I had surgery done on both of my eyes n I'm still having problems seeing clearly in my left eye which I was suffering with keratoconus my whole life just want to know what would u recommend for to do next as I'm now in my early 30th
Hi Jason, I would schedule an appointment with a doctor that specializes in fitting specialty contact lenses. I would be happy to send you doctors in your area that we work with if you would like to email me. Please email xcelinfo@xcelspecialtycontacts.com and put ATTN: Kim in the subject line.

As someone who also suffers from keratoconus I can totally relate. I’ve had 3 eye surgeries to keep my sight as it is, but sadly I got told that it has got worse and I’m going to have to see my doctor again to see if I have to have more surgery or what other options there may be. I’m definitely very nervous about it but you can’t replace vision and it’s so important.
Hey William, I hope you getting better. I had a three surgery when I was an infant, one late teen. And two on my late twenty. Now it feels better, it's been more than ten years and still stables, the steroid drop help to maintain it.
I have hard lenses and they hurt roll around and have 1 scar spread at the bottom of my eye should I tell my doctor in Boston that I want sclera lenses because the pin when the hard lenses get dry is unbearable
I would definitely suggest asking your doctor if you would be a good candidate for scleral lenses. Best of luck! I am so sorry you are having pain with your current lenses.
@@XCelContacts thank u ☺️ ♥️ kindness really makes the day better even with all the misfortunes we all face you made my day
Please keep us posted on how you are doing.
Iv suffered with terrible Keratoconus and I lost all most all of my vision I got the Atlantis glare lenses about a month ago and when I first put them in I cried because I saw what grass and trees looked like for the first time it truly a amazing felling
We love to hear stories like this! Thank you for sharing. I would love to use your testimonial with your permission, of course. Please let me know. I am so happy that you are happy with your Atlantis lenses! <3
did you have to get cross linking done or did you go straight to the scleral lenses?
I'm now in my Fifth year of medical school and I discoverd that I have keratoconus in my second year , it's really davestating to have such a condition , I really was going to quit the medical school , I stoped using my phone for 2 years , I even stopped going out , but thanks to my doctors and sinours who drag me back to the track and help me to do the cross lininking procedure it really help me and stopped the detroration of my vision .. now with the glass I can see clearly with my right eye but stil have problem with my left eye even after the procdure
I have keratoconus in right eye and left eye is all fine .. right eye corneal thickness is 440 and doctors want to make sure if it's progressive or not . If it is I will get cross linking done in two months and I am joining medical college this year on scholarship. How will be my life on medical school ? Would I make it ? I am so worried right now 😶

If y'all think y'all have it bad, I win this by miles. I haven't been able to see, clearly see, my entire life. I'm 32, almost 33 and have strabismus in my left eye, that wasn't completely fixed in a sugery when I was almost 6 yo ( had to be operated on twice, because one day after surgery, they realized that I was alergic to material they used for the sutures and I almost became blind in my left eye). Then I have really dry eyes and about a year or so ago, my eye sight started declining rapidly, I saw a doc and he did superficial tests, told me to get eye drops, then another one and finally found a diagnosis. I found out yesterday that I have astigmatism in my right eye and keratoconus in both of them. So I have to have surgery, well the cross- linked one. It's barely a surgery, but still. Then I have to get fitted for contacts. I'm honestly just ready so see, damn it. I've had enough. Seriously. It's like I've hit the jackpot on eye diseases and they keep giving. Enough is enough. If I have to have 1,2,5 corneal transplants, I will, as long as I get to that goal, to see clearly, just for once. I'd really like that. I want to ducking see! I just want to have a dash of luck in this life.
Man I just Got mine and man I feel him .i was like wtf they work .big game changer

Hola, de que país eres? Yo soy de México y quiero saber si aquí los puedo conseguir.
I hate this eye condition it has screwed up my life I can't get any help when I don't have insurance an the cost to go to my eye specialist is crazy I pay out the pocket it truly depresses me cause my sight is getting worse but can't afford to get more hard contacts like I had before
i wear rgp and i dont feel like im scratching scarring…
Is this treatment working in india???? From a 6 years I suffering from this deases so help me sir Corneal cross linking therapy was done but my vision become bad from that treatment so help me in this sir....
Of course it becomes bad but will improve with time and will become same the way it was before the surgery.... c3r basically stops the progression of the cone .... it has got no role in improving ur vision .... for that u will have to get better glasses or contact lenses
I use sclera lenses... they are very comfortable but my vision has gotten worse so now idk what to do
I cried when he said “I could finally see the read signs” because man I understand 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔fuck keratoCONUS
What are the differences between these and the Jupiter lenses??? What are the price of these??
es promisorio el informe, irregularidad o geometria distinta puede ser abordada
I love my scleral lenses! it’s like having HD vision.
Omg I wish I had that too.
I need that one so badly
That was my sons reply when I asked him how his vision was ❤️
I was diagnosed with Kerataconus in sixth grade and I had no idea what a roller coaster life I'd have with this eye disease. I definitely have had to adapt and adjust to issues that come with having kerataconus like being sensitive to light, not being able to drive in the dark, not seeing very clearly out of eye glasses....the list goes on. The older I get the harder it gets to live with keratoconus. I don't wish this eye disease on anyone.
Reemplazan las gafas de medida ?
Gracias Martin saludos desde Guatemala
31 years old scleral no longer works expecting double corneal transplants. Happy to those getting help and it works. To those going down my path good luck 👍
I am 40 now-had both corneal transplants before I was 25. I am sure you will have excellent results-just like me!!!!
Excelente doctor, muchas gracias
Gracias por ver!
Scleral contacts are so uncomfortable in my personal opinion my eyes get so red and I could even hear my eyelids rubbing against the contacts and having to constantly use eyedrops and they get extremely foggy as well because I over produce protein
Hi Katherine, I would talk to your doctor, as that is not typical for scleral lenses. Wish you the best!
Hey can I use glasses instead of lenses?
@@tomholland6026 You would have to talk to your cornea specialist about that, I know that some people can use glasses but it’s really depending on how severe. If you’re still your early to mid stage you should really consider cross-linking ASAP
I was Dx with keratoconus when I was about 14 so just starting high school. I wasn’t able to see and they gave me hard contacts that always fell out, hurt, would chip or get lost if they fell and bounced. It was awful. Eventually I made the decision to have cornea transplants. I had one when I was 15 and did the other one when I was 19. After my first one I could see ok but wore a hard lens in the other eye until I was 19 because the pain of the transplant was so bad and lasted for months. They took out stitches one by one as they broke from dissolving. Lots of pain associated with a broken stitch. After my second transplant my eye doctor told me I could do PRK (laser eye surgery) and my vision was 20/20 for many years. I eventually had to do a third transplant since the first one wasn’t done well enough and then had laser surgery on that eye as well. Since that time up until l2 years ago (when I was 36) my vision was near perfect in both eyes without any correction. Then my left eye developed an astigmatism correctable with glasses. Since I hate wearing glasses I had another PRK done to correct my vision last week. I’m still recovering by vision is both eyes I corrected without lenses is 20/25 and 20/20 on a good day. I tell this story because even Though I’ve gone through a total of 6 surgeries they were ALL worth it to have uncorrected good vision.
What is your profession?
You can't have lasix with Keratoconus. The cornea is too thin
Roughly how much was it for all 6 surgeries? Did you have help with insurance?
Quick question: is it actually safe to have PRK surgery repeated so many times and did you get it done or combined with other eye surgeries like CXL/C3R (simultaneously) or did you get them one after the other over the years after stabilisation of your corneas (sequentially)? I had CXL done in 2021 and need to know (obviously will ask a qualified eye doctor) if I can get TransPRK or transPTK (phototherapeutic keratectomy) or maybe CK (conducive keratoplasty) in combination with or alone after CXL as in had CXL done already but vision is extremely poor with glasses and unaided and don't feel comfortable wearing contacts especially hard lenses but will if necessary, but would like to know if I can maybe get PRK too to correct my vison issues especially the severe distortions and did you get PRK or TransPRK or topography-guided or wavefront-guided PRK surgery?
I have keratoconus in my left eye and it horrible!! 👎🏽 👁
